Last night I performed a corporate show at The Nova Scotia Road Builders Association annual conference in Halifax.
I knew a lot of the people in attendance and it was fun to catch up with some folks I hadn’t seen in years (a few I haven’t seen since high school…). The show was a ton of fun, and the group was full of energy (and possibly drinks…).
The thing that impressed me the most about this event was that it was held during a crazy bad snowstorm. Everything in Halifax was shut down, except this event. I mean even McDonalds was closed.
If I wouldn’t have had 4 wheel drive I don’t think I would have even made it.
When I arrived I asked how many people had come, expecting a small number. I was shocked when they said over 300. In total only about 20 people who were expected didn’t show up.
Goes to show you the people who build the roads don’t mind using them, no matter what the conditions.
