I’ve been a hypnotist for over 15 years now. So long that I’ve heard just about any question anyone could possibly ask on the topic.
One question I get all the time is “What’s the funniest thing that’s ever happened onstage?”
I have a hard time answering it. Funny stuff happens all the time. But the things that are funny to me are probably not the things that everyone else would find the funniest.
The best moments with hypnosis are when you get to see someone you know onstage. When I hypnotize at a corporate banquet and people get to see someone they know from the office, who can no longer remember how to put their shoes on, that is a very special time.
At a high school, you may have the student council president thinking they are an alien and speaking in the alien language.
For me, the best moments have probably been the times close friends have gotten onstage. It lets me know how an audience feels when they see their friends up there.
